PHP cc: and bcc: via mail() Disabled

# Posted Feb 5, 2:37pm

We’ve turned off support for the cc: and bcc: headers when sending mail via PHP’s built-in mail() function. We’ve recently found that many scripts running on the server was sending spam due to an inherent lack of security in this php function.

If you’re developing your own code on Ideanode’s sites, we recommend that you use a more full-featured mail class like PHPMailer and authenticate via SMTP to your mail server.

If you just want a simple way to send email that doesn’t need any code at all, we recommend that you use the Ideanode Easy Mailer
